Our Approach

There’s a revolution in our media landscape. Influence is changing. The room for free publicity is decreasing, so how can you still generate attention for your brand? These developments ask for a radically new, more dynamic PR approach. Glasnost developed an own method that revolves around the 3 M-Methodology: Message, Moments & Means. Based on creativity and results we use the entire influencer field, to generate the positive attention companies deserve.

Message

It all starts with defining the Message. What message does the marketer want to bring across? And what is the news the influencer is interested in? Where do these two worlds intersect? Glasnost tries to find the sweetspot, the common ground of the two worlds. Defining the communication message (the Message) sets the base for guaranteed publicity.

Moments

To amplify the impact of the message it is very important to find the right moment. It is all about facilitating the journalist and influencer in the best way possible. How can we get our message across in a limited time? And what is the best way to do this? Are we going to ask the influencer to come to us or do we visit them? Are we going to work with a set embargo? Do we choose to give a MasterCard experience or is a first scoop in ‘de Telegraaf’ the better option? Based on experience and gut feeling we make the call. Glasnost optimizes both the news moment and the outcome.

Means

Sometimes merely the message and moments aren’t strong enough. In that case we also need financial means. This is a result of the new rules that have been set in the new media landscape. Paying for editorial content has become more common and it creates opportunities if the message of the brand is too commercial or if it can give an already powerful message an extra push and more reach. Especially influencers, vloggers and bloggers have business models that implement paid content for brands. Glasnost is familiar with the rules of this new ‘native’ approach, and we use this approach to amplify the reach of the campaign.
